Do you wonder if you can bring anything to your boudoir shoot? If you think about it, boudoir photography is a personal experience about you, and not just taking intimate pictures. Do you need to wear lingerie or very revealing clothing? Many prefer to, but is not necessary.
Your custom boudoir photography is about you and expressing your personality. To reveal or not reveal is not the question. Ask yourself, "Is there something that I want to remember in my boudoir photos?
These images of Tiphanie are great examples. A necklace is a great piece to have with you. It not only dresses you up, but it also gives you something to do with your hands. This is a wonderful trick if you are a little nervous. It helps you concentrate on the necklace and not that you may be a bit nervous.
Tiphanie also brought her favorite hat. She had no problem getting into character when she put the hat on. We had fun with that! Then we used the hat in different locations- on her knee, the floor and the bed. It just added to her personality and it was something she had fun with.
Finally, she wanted to show the tattoo on her ankle. We could have done a full length showing her ankle but you would never have seen it. Notice the way we featured the ink and included just enough of her smile to create a feeling that the image was still about her, and not just the ink.
How do you learn what to include? When we have our consultation, we will discuss what makes your boudoir session a custom experience. I want to know what you want to include and offer suggestions if you are not sure. You may want to wear a shirt of your SO, or bring an heirloom or maybe even a sports jersey. Whatever you like, remember that this is your chance to show your personality. Bring things that may help you rock your session. Call today and let's talk about your custom boudoir photography.
