Why Do I Shoot Boudoir?

I began my photography career because I loved taking people pictures. I bought my first camera a day before my first trip to New York City. I knew that I planned to photograph the landmarks but, as you know, the streets in New York are full of lively personalities!

I discovered a love for photographing personalities. I am fortunate to have been a wedding photographer for 15 years. It was an honor to be invited to the most special days in their lives. I found that at the end of the day I will almost always get hugs from bride and mom.

This kind of led me into portraiture for women. I knew that all my reviews were how I helped brides feel comfortable in front of the camera in what could be an extraordinary yet stressful day. So I wanted to continue and learned as much as I could by being involved in boudoir workshops and working with many, many models.

Honestly I am not sure what I do to create a fun, easy atmosphere. I enjoy having fun and try to be as encouraging as I need to be. There is no greater feeling for me than to see confidence and self-love rise from a client during a photo shoot. And that makes all the difference!
