I am pumped! Over the weekend I booked a private workshop session with one of my mentors, Don Hales , owner of Don Hales Photography. Don has been the major influence in my shooting style. He has taught me more dramatic lighting for boudoir sessions that show her in a more natural setting. I used to make sure that the lighting was perfect. With Don I have learned that the use in shadows gives a more natural, intimate look, and also can directs the viewer away from those things we don't want to highlight.
As you know I love the window light. But I have been wanting to add more to boudoir sessions. I want a type of lighting that is different, sexy and that clients will love. This is one area that Don excels. Don has been doing this for a long time, and has discovered what I think are some really cool lighting situations. There are many ways to light for photography and this will give you more choices for your boudoir album.
I love learning new styles, and I can't wait to fly to Denver in a couple weeks. I will be sure to share some of the images with you. And the end result will be more choices and an even better product for you.
