Corona Hope

Hello, everyone. I have not blogged for a while but with the craziness that we are going through I needed to write. First, I hope that everyone is doing well to survive the Corona Virus. There is so much different information out there that it is hard to know what to take to heart. Sometimes it may become so worrisome that we just need to take minute and breathe. Sit in your favorite chair, close your eyes and just relax for ten minutes. Breathe easily and relax your body, mind and soul.

If you are at home every day, as I am, we may have experienced some of the same things- lots of TV, movies, Tiger King (yes, Tiger King), snacks. These are all coping mechanisms which are normal. I was starting to go crazy! Hope came to me through an on-line course that began to energize me, and I can't wait to start the boudoir business again. If you are feeling bored and going out of your mind, education can give you some direction. Can you imagine what these months would be like without the internet?

Do you like to read? I found a couple great books. I take them outside and I am social distancing, except for a little lizard every now and then, and get some fresh air every day. The book that is being mailed is called BossyPants by Tina Fey. She is one funny lady that many people can relate to, so I am looking forward to reading her story.

One thing that really began to frustrate me was adding back the pounds I lost earlier this year. Yes, they found me! Too much Netflix and not enough exercise was getting to me. I miss the gym! YouTube has been a help with some at-home workouts, and I walk every day again. Luckily I have lost those pounds and am feeling better.

And that brings me to the boudoir experience. The whole idea of boudoir is to feel better about yourself. It is difficult to feel that way when you feel confined or frustrated. I encourage you to take some steps to feel better. Do some exercising. Try meditation. Start reading some fun books or take an on-line course. Put the Tiger King on pause- he'll wait for you- and do something for you! This won't last forever, and when everything reopens my hope is that you are ready to take on the world!

I got to tell you, when I got out of the recliner and started challenging myself, I started feeling a whole lot better! My outlook is better, those few pounds fell back off and I am excited about meeting new clients. Hang in there. When this is all done, let's look back and say it wasn't easy, but I became a better person. One of my photographer mentors says if you want to be a better photographer, become a better person. Whatever you do, use this time to do just that.
