Candid Boudoir

I love this part of a boudoir session. When I take a portrait, any style portrait, it is so important to bring out personality. Sometimes the best images come between poses when the subject is relaxed and forgets I am there. This sequence shows this to a tee. Marina is a beautiful from the Ukraine with a fun personality.We were having a great session when we paused for a second. And I do not remember what I said but you can see it took her by surprise as she thought about it for a second. Then after it sunk in she found the humor. ( My humor can be a little thought-provoking at times! ) Then on to the next pose when she is totally relaxed.  

Sometimes people can be a little tense when they are in a photo session, whether it's boudoir pictures or business head shots or family pictures. When you are in a session that will last an hour or two, you may feel a little nervous. That's what I love about these intimate images. You can be in a pose one minute, and then totally forget about the camera the next. When I connect with a person during a photo shoot, it is priceless to me. When you look at your boudoir photos, or any portrait that you have done, I hope that you remember the experience with a warm heart and smile like Marina.
